This candidate won the provincial by-election in the riding of Hamilton Centre on March 16, 2023. The by-election was called to replace former Ontario NDP Leader and radical abortion proponent Andrea Horwath, who vacated her MPP's seat after being elected Mayor of Hamilton.

This candidate, Sarah Jama, used the lgbt propaganda formulation (she/her) after her name on her election Twitter account, signaling her allegiance to the reality-denying transgenderist fantasy that humans are not actually beings, but merely concepts.

In October 2023, MPP Jama was ejected from the Ontario NDP caucus over comments she made in relation to the recently erupted Israeli-Hamas conflict, forcing Ms. Jama to sit as an Independent MPP.
